I don’t normally do long captions but this shot deserves one I think. I was on holiday in Galloway in south west Scotland with my family, and we decided to visit the Galloway Wildlife Conservation Park near Kirkcudbright. It was a fantastic, if some what bohemian day, with free range peacocks and the occasional escaping meerkat (which made its way back to its enclosure of its own accord, just in time for feeding, which was an apparently regular occurrence) but the highlight were the Ring tailed lemurs, one of whom is pictured above. They too managed to escape their enclosure and played around the outside of the fence until the arrival of one of the keepers. This shot captured, at the risk of being anthropomorphic, the guilty look of one of the lemurs, who were then hand fed by one of the keepers. More photos from the park will be up in a couple of weeks, as well as the rest of the pictures from the holiday. Cheers!
